In the grooming salon, my greatest reward is that smiling furry face. A bond built with any pet is the greatest gift. However, over the years, I have received many kind gestures of appreciation from clients. Furthermore, I have bought gifts for other groomers who have mentored me over the years. Here are my choices for best dog groomer gifts of 2021:

1. The best creative dog groomer gift:

A dog groomer caricature portrait:

For creative fun, consider checking out a dog groomer caricature portrait. However, for this particular gift, the artist requires a photo of the groomer. This is a one of a kind artistic statement piece by CartoonPortrait.

2. The best humorous dog groomer gift:

The dog face mask:

So many clients tell me how much they love this mask. I tell them that their dogs love it too! It’s such a fun-loving way to connect with clients. Before the pandemic, I wore this mask to add extra happy vibes for nervous dogs. In addition, it also doubled as a way to avoid inhaling hair from grooming sessions.

This is a mask I gifted to many other groomers for some hearty laughs.

Made in Canada, this high quality mask also has slip pocket inside for a filter. Furtermore, there are so many other animal printed masks to choose from. This mask is made by Maskcott.

3. The popular dog groomer gift:

A #30 clipper blade:

For groomers gifting to groomers, consider the #30 blade. After all, the #30 blade is one of our most used blades. For example, any hair cut that requires a clip comb needs a #30 blade.

Personally, I have gifted many of these blades to my own groomer friends. It is very practical and was always so well received.

My absolute favorite is the Geib Buttercut brand – it is made of German stainless steel. Otherwise, anything by Oster, Wahl or Andis UltraEdge is decent. However, I would suggest against ceramic blades. In my experience, ceramic blades appear fragile and break easily.

4. The prettiest dog groomer gift:

A dog groomer bracelet:

Interestingly, I never knew they made bracelets for dog groomers. This was my first dog groomer bracelet that I received. It says “ I make bitches beautiful.” The surprise, humor and thought behind this bracelet made it a very special gift.

In addition, it is hypoallergenic and nickel-free. Personally, I have really small wrists, so it was a bonus that this bracelet has an adjustable end.

5. The best homemade dog groomer gift:

A paw-stamped card:

When someone takes the time to write a “thank-you” note by hand, it really makes me feel important. For example, one of my clients wrote a beautiful “thank-you” card that was paw stamped by her dog.

Above all, it is a gift that is worth more than anything.

6. The best practical dog groomer gift:

A sissors storage container:

In my opinion, this is by the far the best holder for scissors and other sharp tools. For many groomers, it’s a struggle to find a secure space to hold grooming scissors. Most holders either require suspension to a wall or come in a wrapped-up pouch. However, this storage container is easy to clean, secure and portable.
